Wingello trail classic

Australia's newest trail running event, comprising a 6km and 25km run on some of NSW's best trails in the Wingello State Forrest, just south of Sydney.

Wingeloo trail classic is a charity race and hopes to raise money for the Wingello Fire Brigade and to fund athletes in Australia. It is a 25l, (and accompanying 6km) trail running race, at Wingello. The 6km race follows the "Blue Loop": A 6km loop consisting solely of fire trails; perfect to get you warmed up or for those new to the sport, and to get a taste of the trails. This loop comprises only slight ups and downs. The 25km course is held on the "Red Loop": One for the singletrack junkie. On this loop, you'll head along fire trails to begin with, before running on some of the famous sections from the Highland Fling including "The Wall"; an insanely steep, short climb, "Great Wall" and "Tangles" a fantastic section of switchback singletrack through ferny gullies.
